Portable Grounding: Why We Designed Our One-of-a-Kind Board

When we first started looking into grounding, we noticed something pretty quickly: most of the products out there were synthetic mats. Functional? Maybe. Beautiful? Not so much.

We wanted something different—something natural and beautiful, not another piece of gear you’d feel like you had to tuck away. That’s where the idea for a grounding board began.

From Idea to Design

It wasn’t a quick project. Wood has a mind of its own—it moves with humidity and changes with the seasons—so designing a board that would actually hold copper securely took time. We tested different versions, reworked the details, and eventually landed on a design that felt simple, durable, and beautiful enough to keep out in the open.

The result? A solid wood board with a copper inlay—nothing synthetic, nothing flimsy, just natural materials crafted to last.

Why a Grounding Board?

Because as far as we can tell, no one else is making one. There are grounding mats and grounding sheets, but not a true board made from natural materials. And honestly, we wanted something better for our own home.

Our grounding board is portable—easy to slip into a purse, tote, or backpack and take with you. At home, you can rest a foot on it while sitting at your desk or couch, or place a hand or forearm on it while you read or relax. It’s designed to be simple, versatile, and part of everyday life.

What’s Available Now

Right now, our Copperleaf Grounding Board Mini is available for preorder. It’s compact, easy to use, and our very first run of a product we’ve been dreaming about for over a year. We’re also working on a full-size version—big enough to stand on while working at a desk—but it’s still in the testing phase.

For us, this is just the beginning of rethinking what grounding products can look like: natural, lasting, and designed to be part of your home, not hidden away.
